Registration Information

Thank you for your interest in New Hingham Regional Elementary School! Below you will find information regarding student registration. We have a rolling enrollment system, which means that students are accepted year round.

Please complete the registration paperwork request on this page or call the office to obtain a registration packet. Once we receive your request, we will call you to schedule a tour of the school and a meeting with the Principal.

If you would like to stop by the school to register your child, please bring the following documentation:

  1. Certified copy of birth certificate (long form)

  2. Immunization and physical records

  3. Proof of residency (three documents): -Mortgage statement or lease agreement including the parent/guardian’s current physical address -Current utility bill statement at said address -Valid government issued I.D. such as a Massachusetts driver’s license, voter registration card, or state I.D.

  4. Previous School’s Records: -Attendance records -Academic transcript/report cards -Special education records & IEP (if applicable) -Section 504 plan (if applicable)

  5. If applicable, shared custody agreement in the event the child being enrolled is in separate custody of two or more parties.

REQUEST
Kindergarten

In February, we will mail letters to families who are on the Chesterfield and Goshen Census that have children who are 5 years of age by September 1. This letter will include information about the Kindergarten Family Orientation and registration process. Registration packets will be offered at the parent orientation, along with resources to help prepare your child for his/her transition to kindergarten.

Pre-Kindergarten

In February, we will mail letters to families who are on the local census that have children who are 3-4 years of age by September 1. This will include information about our developmental screening dates and registration process. During the screening, families will receive registration paperwork to complete. If families know that they will be interested in our program prior to our census review, please contact us.
